                     "You will get through"

I would like to thank everybody who has taken the time to e-mail & write to me with their kind words and thoughts. All of this has helped me through this difficult time and is continuing to do so.

Thanks again mates for all your support !!

This site is also to allow me to seek other people's experiences and post their own views to share with other worldwide sufferers.

I would like to say when I was in hospital I felt as things would never get any better, but now I am out and making progress. In the early days after getting out from hospital I, with the help of my family concentrated on developing my speech and mobility and again I am doing reasonably well.

I didn't feel comfortable out due to meeting people and having to speak to them (which even to this day I still struggle with), so I would return to the hospital where I had my operations and visit the staff there.

Whilst I was there I met some other people who were just about to or just had similar operations, after introducing myself to them we would chat for a while in a what felt like a safe and secure environment.

By the time I left the patient's, they too were smiling and feeling a little more at ease. I am now encountering seizures and am waiting to see the specialist who operated on me to find out why this is happening and what I can to do to learn to live with it.

As regards working again I think this may be some time off but I am facing all life's hurdles, and know that you all can do it too.

Please e-mail me at the address below if you wish to add to the web Site.
